When the laptop dies the week before finals
Coffee on the keyboard is the classic. Shut it down, don't try to charge it, and bring it over. We repair MacBooks at board level in-house, replacing the parts the liquid damaged instead of swapping the whole logic board. We don't wipe your drive to fix the board.
Windows laptops get the same care: cracked screens, dead charging and drives that stop booting. If the drive is what failed, we run data recovery in our own shop, even on machines that were dropped or soaked. The diagnostic is free, and if we can't fix it, you owe nothing.

Is Covered Plus worth it on a student budget?
If you've already cracked one phone this year, it might be. Covered Plus costs $5.99, $7.99 or $9.99 a month depending on what your phone is worth. A claim is $50, you get 2 a year, and it covers drops, spills, liquid, and battery or charging failures.
Two catches to know up front. Claims open 31 days after joining, and a lost or stolen phone isn't covered. We set it up when you pick up your device, and you can cancel any month.

Do I need my student ID for the discount?
Yes. Show your 49ers ID at drop-off and 10% comes off the repair. It works on anything we fix.
Can I borrow a laptop while mine is in the shop?
Yes, we have loaner laptops during repairs. Ask at drop-off so you don't miss a deadline.
My paper is on a dead laptop. Can you get it back?
Often, yes. Our data recovery is done in-house, and the diagnostic is free. If we can't recover it, there's no fee.
I'm going home for the summer. Can I still use you?
Mail your device to us from anywhere in the US. We fix it and ship it back to you with a free insured return.
Can I sign up for Covered Plus and claim the same week?
