Phones get dropped on campus. Covered Plus is built for that. It is $5.99, $7.99 or $9.99 a month depending on what the phone is worth, and it covers drops, spills, liquid damage, and battery and charging failures.
Each claim is $50, with up to 2 claims a year. Claims open 31 days after you join, so set it up before you need it. Lost or stolen phones are not part of the plan.
