Computer & Laptop Repair in Charlotte — Including the Board Itself

Most shops swap parts. We repair the board. Dead MacBooks, laptops that won't charge, desktops that won't post, and the machines other shops sent home with “you need a new motherboard” — we diagnose to the failed component and replace it, under a microscope, usually for $149–$300. Free diagnostics, a firm quote before any work, your data untouched, and if we can't fix it, you don't pay.

“It needs a new motherboard” usually isn't true

That sentence almost always means one component on the motherboard failed— a $3 chip, a corroded connector, a blown filter. Shops without a microscope and a soldering station can't tell the difference, so they quote a board swap: $600–$1,200, and your data goes with it. Bring us the diagnosis. Our second opinion is free, and most “dead boards” aren't.

Loaner laptops — stay online while yours is in

Board-level work takes 2–5 business days. That's the honest answer — and it's the reason most people choose the fast, bad repair over the slow, right one. We remove that reason: borrow a laptop while yours is with us. Leave a deposit that goes straight toward your repair. If we can't fix your device, your deposit is returned. Windows and macOS options, subject to availability.

Just ask at drop-off.

Data first, always

Before we repair, we ask what's on it. Component-level repair leaves your storage untouched, and when a machine truly can't be saved, our in-house data recovery usually still gets your files off it. We treat your data as the most valuable part of the computer — because it is.

“Michael is the absolute best. I originally took my laptop because it was moving so slow. He worked his magic and now it's like brand new. So I decided I would take my all in one desktop. Less than an hour he had it as brand new as well. I am so very happy that I have found someone to work on my devices. Not only did he fix things in such a quick manner but the price was reasonable as well. Thanks again for your help.”

“I know I'm a hard person to win over but Gus here is absolutely goated ! I came in around 4:30 to get some upgrades done on my PC I could normally do myself but struggled for the past two days . His got it done before close … & paid me out for my parts. This was an absolute W for me I'm calling him for all repairs . Might I add I had to come with my kids so they helped load and unload vehicle with the equipment .”
