Why a cracked back isn't cosmetic

How We Actually Remove Back Glass
Back glass isn't clipped on — it's bonded to the frame with industrial adhesive, and on newer iPhones it's bonded hard. The common way to remove it is heat and prying, which risks the frame, the wireless charging coil, and whatever's sitting under the glass.
