   Galaxy back glass is held by adhesive. We warm it evenly and lift it with thin tools, working around the NFC antenna and wireless charging coil that sit right underneath.

   Every shard and bit of old adhesive comes out, especially around the camera openings. Leftover glass under the new panel causes pressure cracks later.

   The new panel goes on with fresh adhesive and is clamped while it sets. Lens covers are fitted and aligned so the cameras sit centered.

A cracked back usually doesn't affect how the phone works day to day, so this is more about safety, resale value and keeping water out. • Use a case with a raised ring around the camera bump.
• Let new adhesive cure; avoid water exposure and heavy pressure on the back for the first day.
• Water resistance can't be restored to factory spec after opening, so keep the phone out of pools and showers.
