Why fix an iPod in 2025?
Apple discontinued the iPod in 2022, which means you can't buy a new one — but you can make the one you have better than it ever was. The iPod Classic, in particular, is now a genuine enthusiast piece: a flash storage upgrade removes the one part that was always going to fail, an extended battery turns hours into days, and a Bluetooth mod lets you use it with modern wireless headphones. A restored Classic is the best dedicated music player money can buy.
For the Touch, repair is simply the only path — Apple no longer makes them and supply of quality used units is shrinking. A cracked screen or dead battery is a straightforward fix that costs a fraction of hunting for a replacement.
Discontinued device
Apple no longer makes iPods. Repair is the only path to keep yours running.
Mods make it better
Flash storage and Bluetooth upgrades make a Classic better than new — no moving parts, wireless audio.
