There's no single time for every Galaxy. It depends on the model, part availability and what the inspection finds. Foldables and Ultra models typically need more bench time than an A-series. You'll have the completion window in hand before you approve anything.

• Back up with Smart Switch, Samsung Cloud or Google while the screen still works.
• Find the model number in Settings, About phone, or on the box.
• If the screen is black, connect a mouse or use your watch to check the phone is still on.
• On a foldable, don't peel the inner screen protector.
• Know your PIN, pattern or password for testing after the repair.

For the S23, S24, S25 and Note 20 Ultra, a genuine screen keeps a flagship phone going for years and costs well below a new one. On older A-series phones the gap between repair and replacement is smaller, so we'll show you both. Foldable inner screens are the most expensive Galaxy repair; if the hinge is also damaged, compare the total against trading the phone in.

Galaxy screens are bonded with strong adhesive, and the AMOLED panel is thin and cracks easily during removal. Curved-edge models are especially unforgiving. Heating too long can damage the battery behind the screen, and prying in the wrong spot tears the display flex. Foldable screens shouldn't be attempted at home. If you have opened the phone and the new screen shows nothing, stop and bring both screens in.
