Condition grades explained
Consoles have unique fault patterns. Here is how we grade condition and what each means for the cash offer.
Boots and plays normally, no disc read errors, HDMI output clean, controllers functional. Minor cosmetic marks acceptable. Original packaging or extra controllers add value.
Console works perfectly but has visible scratches, scuffs, cracks in the shell, or a broken controller. Functionality is not affected — it just looks used.
Partially working — for example, a PS5 that powers on but shows no HDMI output, or an Xbox that overheats and shuts down. These are repairable faults. See the 'Damaged' column.
Console does not turn on or has multiple severe faults. We do board-level console repair in-house — there is usually still real value. See the 'Dead' column.
Account & data
We handle account deregistration for you
We sign you out of PSN, Xbox Live, Nintendo Account, or Steam, deregister the console from your account, and factory-reset it before we pay. You watch the process. Bring your account credentials.
We will not buy a console that is still locked to a primary account — it locks the buyer out and makes the console unsellable. If you can't remember your account password, sort that out before you come in (Sony and Microsoft both have account recovery tools).
What to bring
- PlayStationPSN email and password. We deactivate primary, sign out, and factory reset via Safe Mode.
- XboxMicrosoft account email and password. We remove account from the console and factory reset.

How do I sign out of my PlayStation Network account before selling?
You don't have to do it yourself — we handle account deregistration while you watch. We go to Settings → Account Management → Sign Out (and deactivate as your primary PS4/PS5 if applicable). You'll need your PSN email and password. We delete your local account data before completing the transaction.
Does the console need to come with controllers and cables?
No, but it affects the value. A PS5 with the original DualSense and HDMI cable is worth more than a console-only sale. We buy console-only too — just expect $20–$40 less. Missing controllers are deducted at the used controller market rate.
My PS5 has the HDMI fault — no video output. Is it worth selling?

I have an older console — original PlayStation, N64, Dreamcast. Do you buy retro?
Yes, depending on condition and what's included. Retro console values vary a lot — original packaging, extra controllers, and game libraries all matter. Call or text us with what you have and we'll give you an honest range.
Do you buy Steam Decks?
Yes. OLED models hold value well. LCD models (especially 64GB) have dropped significantly as the OLED replaced them, but are still worth buying. Make sure to factory reset and remove your Steam account before coming in — or we can do it together.
Can I trade my console toward a repair?
Yes. Trade credit applies to any repair or purchase. Customers frequently trade an old PS4 or Xbox One to offset a PS5 HDMI repair or a phone screen fix.
What games and accessories do you buy?
We buy games and accessories on a case-by-case basis. Physical game collections for current-gen consoles hold less value than they used to, but a well-curated collection is worth bringing in. Call ahead to discuss.
My Xbox One overheats and shuts off. Is it worth anything?
Usually yes — thermal shutdowns are often a reflow or thermal paste job. We assess it as a fault, not a parts bin. The offer reflects the repair cost, but it's typically worth $25–$60 depending on the model.
