Condition grades for tablets
How condition affects your iPad or tablet offer — defined precisely.
Powers on and responds normally. Display has no cracks or delamination. Cellular models include a working SIM tray. Battery holds a reasonable charge. Minor surface marks acceptable.
Display is broken, shattered, or has lines — but the tablet powers on and responds to touch. We deduct our screen repair cost. iPad Pro and iPad Air screens are expensive to replace, so the deduction is larger than for standard iPad models.
Functional but shows heavy cosmetic wear — significant scratches, worn corners, or a notably degraded battery. The tablet works; it just looks well used.
Tablet does not turn on or has severe faults. Dead tablets are often worth buying at parts value — especially iPad Pro models with expensive displays. See the 'Dead' column.

We sign you out of iCloud and factory-reset the iPad while you watch — before we pay. The screen returns to the language selector. Nothing is copied or recovered after you leave.
Bring your Apple ID email and password.We can't sign out of Find My without them, and we won't buy a device that is still linked to an account.

Sell iPad / tablet FAQs
Does the cellular model sell for more than Wi-Fi?
Yes, by about $30–$80 depending on model and generation. Unlocked cellular iPads are worth more than locked ones. If yours is carrier-locked, bring your account credentials so we can check unlock status.
Do you buy first- or second-generation iPads?
Very old models (pre-iPad 5th Gen, pre-iPad Air 2) have minimal resale value — typically under $20. We'll still make an offer, but manage expectations for anything pre-2016.
My iPad has a cracked screen but works perfectly. How much is the deduction?
It depends on the model. An iPad 9th Gen screen is cheap to replace — expect a $40–$55 deduction. An iPad Pro 12.9" M2 screen is expensive — expect $130–$200 off. The 'Cracked' column above reflects those costs.
Do I need to erase my iPad before coming in?
No — we do it with you present. We sign you out of iCloud and factory-reset the iPad while you watch, before any payment. Bring your Apple ID email and password.
Do you buy Samsung Galaxy Tabs?
Yes. The Tab S-series (S7 through S9 Ultra) holds value reasonably well. Tab A-series tablets are worth less. Older or budget Android tablets have minimal resale value.
Do iPad Pencils or keyboard cases add value?
Yes. An Apple Pencil 2nd Gen in good condition adds $30–$60. A Magic Keyboard or Smart Keyboard Folio in good condition adds $40–$80. Bring everything you have.
Can I trade my iPad toward a phone repair?
Yes — trade-in credit applies to any repair or refurbished device purchase. Customers regularly trade older iPads to offset MacBook repairs or phone screen fixes.
My iPad won't charge or is stuck on the Apple logo. Is it worth anything?
Usually yes. A charging fault is often a tristar or Tigris IC on the board — a board-level repair. A stuck boot loop might be storage controller or CPU power. Bring it in for a free assessment.
